Crunchy Outside but Soft Buttery Interior. It’s so simple and done in 5 minutes.

Imagine the aroma wafting through your home as this cornbread bakes to golden perfection, creating a crispy crust that gives way to a soft, buttery interior. Each slice is a warm hug, perfect for sharing with family and friends during gatherings or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home. With this best cornbread recipe, I wasn’t just making a dish; I was creating memories with my family and friends sitting together around the table. The first time I made this recipe was when I got married. From that time, I perfected the recipe to perfection.

350 g yellow cornmeal

210 g all-purpose flour

1 tsp sugar

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

500 ml milk

80 g melted butter

Preheat oven to 400 F and heat the pan.

Mix dry ingredients. Combine all liquid ingredients. Add the liquids to the dry ingredients and mix just until all the flour is moistened. The batter will look lumpy. Do not overmix.

Pan immediately in the hot pan greased with butter. Bake cornbread without delay for 30 minutes.

Tip: the dry and liquid ingredients can be prepared in advance but once the mixtures are combined the batter should be baked without delay or loss of volume may result.

Enjoy! Bon Appetit!
