These adorable Easter egg pops are a fun twist on classic Balkan rum kuglice. Rich, chocolatey, and packed with walnuts and plazma biscuits, they’re coated in colorful candy melts and decorated with sprinkles—perfect for spring celebrations, Easter tables, or kids’ parties.
Ingredients
Dough:
- 350 g Plazma biscuits, ground
- 190 g butter (room temperature)
- 100 g sugar
- 100 g melted chocolate
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp rum
- 100 g cranberries (soaked in rum)
- 100 g ground walnuts or pistachios (optional)
- 40 ml orange juice
- 1 tbsp orange jam
Decoration:
- White candy melts
- Food colouring, oil-based (yellow, pink, purple, green, blue)
- Spring sprinkles
Other:
- Lollipop sticks
- Egg mold (optional)

Instructions
- Prepare raisins:
Soak cranberries in rum and set aside. - Make the dough:
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix until smooth and fully combined. Add jam and orange juice. Mix until the mixture is soft and easy to shape. - Shape eggs:
Form egg-shaped balls and place them on a tray. - Chill:
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until firm. - If the Cake balls are too cold when dipped, the coating may crack due to the sudden temperature change. Conversely, if they’re too warm, they may not hold their shape during dipping.
- Prepare coating:
Melt candy melts in the microwave, stirring until smooth. Divide and color as desired. - Insert sticks:
Dip each stick into melted chocolate, then insert it into chilled eggs. Return to the fridge for 20 minutes. - Coat:
Dip each egg pop into melted chocolate and let excess drip off. - Decorate:
Add sprinkles immediately before the coating sets. - Set:
Place upright and let fully harden.
