🛒 Ingredients
Coleslaw
- ¼ medium green cabbage, shredded
- ¼ small red cabbage, shredded
- 2 medium carrots, shredded
- ¼ cup parsley, chopped
Dressing
- 200 g mayonnaise
- 30 ml apple cider vinegar
- 15 g honey
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 garlic cloves, grated
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
Gremolata
- ¼ cup parsley, finely chopped
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 garlic cloves
Tartar Sauce
- 100 g mayonnaise
- ¼ tsp Dijon mustard
- Salt & pepper
- 1 tbsp gremolata
- 2 dill pickles, chopped
- Juice of ½ lemon
- ½ tsp honey, optional
Fish
- 4 cod fillets (defrosted overnight)
- Salt & pepper
- Flour (for dredging)
Beer Batter
- 200 g flour
- 330 ml beer
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
Potato Wedges
- 2 lbs potatoes
- 3–4 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
👩🍳 Preparation (Perfect Flow)
1. Prep Ahead (Morning or Early Afternoon)
- Shred cabbage, carrots, parsley → refrigerate
- Mix dressing → refrigerate
- Make gremolata → set aside
- Prepare tartar sauce → refrigerate
2. Potatoes First
- Peel and cut potatoes into wedges
- Soak in cold water (20–30 min)
- Drain & dry well
- Toss with oil and seasoning
- Bake at 400°F (200°C)
- 30 min → flip
- 10–15 min more
3. Beer Batter
- Mix dry ingredients
- Whisk in beer until smooth
4. Fry the Fish (Last Step)
- Heat oil (medium-high)
- Dry fish with a paper towel
- Cut in half lengthwise if they are too big
- Season fish → dredge in flour
- Coat in batter
- Fry until golden & crispy
- Drain on a paper towel
👉 Finish with gremolata + lemon wedges
5. Finish Coleslaw
- Mix dressing into cabbage
- Toss well before serving

Serve everything fresh and hot. Add lemon wedges and extra tartar sauce on the side.
